Linda Grams was born and raised in the midwest. Her love of creating art has been a life long endeavor. In high school one of her watercolors won a Scholastic Award for the Hallmark Competition. This put the wheels in motion, proving the training she received was very fruitful. While attending Luther college, Decorah, Iowa, she painted the set for the musical “110 in the Shade.” It was highly challenging since she had never painted a canvas that large. The result was extremely gratifying. Later, as a senior, Linda exhibited her first one person show. Various themes and mediums were displayed but watercolor was predominant. After graduating from college with a B.A. in Fine Art she explored the different regions of the country.
Being a nature lover art heart Linda worked in numerous National Parks and ski resorts, painting and shooting photographs as she traveled. Every place visited opened up a whole new type of scenery. This created a wealth of material for her paintings. She continues to draw from this material plus scenes gathered from the surrounding area of Taos N.M. where she now lives.
Moving to Taos is yet another change of scenery where the possibilities seem endless. In this art community Linda has participated in numerous local and national juried shows as she continues to grow through her artwork.
